 * Just an FYI, if you are using this plugin – “Empty Paragraph in TinyMCE editor”
   it may cause your visual editor to vanish in Firefox using WP 3.1 or higher. 
   It will be visible in IE.
 * I removed the above plugin and my visual editor was restored…
