# Visual Editor MIA

 * Running WP 4.1 on [http://nbeginnings.org](http://nbeginnings.org)
 * Noticed visual editor wasn’t working. Disabled plugins folder, then one at a 
   time reactivated.
 * Turns out Nextgen seems to disable the visual editor, as well as Jetpack.
 * I tried base themes, 2011 and 2015.
 * Any ideas on getting visual editor to work with Nextgen? JetPack isn’t as important.

 * Yes, sure have! I even tried using an earlier version of Nextgen

 * Maybe try [manually reinstalling WordPress](http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update)
   by replacing the core files? I don’t have any bright ideas, but I suppose you
   could also try reporting this to the plugin authors.

 * Have you checked under your user profile to be sure it’s not disabled there?

 * Yes, it is unchecked.
 * I did have the plugin disable visual editor; but removed it. I didn’t see anything
   in mysql database; but was wondering if that may have something to do with it….?
