# Visual Editor Disappears

 * My visual editor disappeared. Yesterday it was working just fine and today it’s
   gone. I haven’t changed anything about my browser (FF) and I haven’t changed 
   anything about the site. I don’t mind the html, but its easier to post quickly
   if I’m using the visual editor. Help.

 * Visual editor in users is checked.
    I haven’t any .htaccess files. Basic editor
   works fine. And I don’t know what the problem is.

 * Are you maybe running NoScript?
 * I’ve been beating my head against this since yesterday after moving my site. 
   I’ve just realized that I didn’t have scripting enabled for the new site.

 * I’m having the same issue. It happened in my previous version of WP (even in 
   2.1.2) and is now happening in my recently installed version of 2.6.2 . There
   seems to be quite a few of us with this issue.

 * check the js_cache under wp-content/uploads/js_cache
 * you will probably see an old date i.e approx when your visual editor stopped 
   working
 * read the instructions – works for all versions
