 * Hi,
 * I have been away from my site for about 2 weeks, I’ve come back to a plethora
   of problems. I’ve fixed mostly everything, but one problem still persists. My
   visual editor (when editing posts) does not appear. The ‘disable visual editor’
   in my settings is **not** checked. Any ideas?

 * try:
    – ** Troubleshooting with your browser**: Your browser can help you identify
   JavaScript issues or conflicts and [this article can assist you in doing that diagnosis](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors).
   This could help identify Visual Editor issues as well. – If that does not help,
   try deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the
   problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually(
   one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). – If that does not help, try switching
   to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.) for a moment using the
   WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere
   like plugins).

 * I’ve enabled script debugging and did not locate an error on the editor page.
   I’ve tried both Chrome and Firefox.
 * Deactivating all plugins did not fix the issue, nor has switching to a default
   theme.

 * – If all the above steps failed, try **MANUALLY** updating. [Download WordPress](https://wordpress.org/download/)
   again and unzip it. Access your server via [SFTP or FTP](https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting
   provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your
   copies of everything on the server **except** the wp-config.php file and the /
   wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively
   replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Please
   read the [Manual Update](http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update)
   directions first.
    – **Backup: If you haven’t already done, always backup everything(
   including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really
   goes wrong. You can never have enough backups! **

 * I’ve manually updated everything, still no visual editor.

 * It may be worth mentioning that the ‘Trash’ button for posts isn’t working either.
   Maybe the issues are related?

 * That’s the same article you linked me in your first post. I’ve tried multiple
   browsers with no luck. This is getting very irritating as I urgently need this
   feature back and no fixes seem to be doing the trick.
