Visual Disappeared. Only see HTML

    The title really says it all. Thi seems to have happened over the last few days. ‘View’ shows the HTML code and ‘Visual’ seems to show the same.

    I have de-activated all plugins but that didn’t help.

    I’m entirely non-technical so when stuff like this happens I’m lost. Can anyone help?

    Try going to wp-admin -> Users -> Your Profile

    At the very top, there’s a checkbox that says “Disable the visual editor when writing”. If that’s checked, should solve your problem.

    If it’s not, switch themes (just to see if that helps).

    Try downloading the latest version of WP and uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders.

    Thanks Rebecca. Unfortunately that wasn’t it and changing the theme didn’t solve it either.

    The visual editor hasn’t in fact disappeared – I phrased it badly. It’s greyed out and I can’t get into it.

    Where should I upload the wp-admin and wp-includes folders to?

    If anyone would be prepared to take a look I would be happy to give access to the dashboard.
