• Resolved denstl

I am resubmitting this topic. I had posted this earlier in the month and you asked me to create a video of the issue. You then closed the post thinking it may have been resolved (maybe because I emailed you the video instead of posting it in the forum). So to be sure you do see it I will try to open a new topic for the same issue.

Here is a link to a video where I recreate the issue showing that Ultimate Member has an issue when using Visual Composer. Issue may always be there but only see it some times with Visual Composer pages. The video shows that with Ultimate Member active you can see the issue. Then after I deactivate the Ultimate Member plugin there is no issue. This page is also using the TablePress plugin. I did create another page using a different table plugin with basically the same results. Both those table plugins do use shortcodes if that makes any difference.

This instance was created just for testing. First I thought it was a Visual Composer issue and their support team worked with me to recreate the issue and they debugged it. Eventually they did identify Ultimate Member as the plugin causing the issue. If it would help you debug this, I can provide the WordPress credentials so you can get in and investigate further within WordPress. I would want to email or DM you the credentials so just let me know if that would help you.

Appreciate any help you can provide. Very happy with Ultimate Member so hoping this issue can be resolved.

  • @denstl I’m also having an issue with WPBakery and UM after the update to WP 5.5. When UM is activated, I can’t edit pages using WPBakery but it works fine when it’s deactivated. Apparently there may be some jQuery compatibility issues after the 5.5 update.

Yea, hoping someone on the UM team can take a look at the little video I put together. I also offered to give them credentials to my test WordPress site. They can doo all the testing they want there (Visual Composer folks were nice and put a temporary license there for this testing.) I can also provide copies of the Chrome Dev Console output.

Same problem here with UM and WPBakery…

Seeing some people have issues after updating WordPress to 5.5. To be clear, in my case I had the issues BEFORE updating to 5.5. Just checked AFTER updating to 5.5 and the issue still exists.

FYI, the UM team has figured out what the issue is and tested a fix on my test site. They plan on incorporating the fix in a new release soon.

    Hi @denstl

Thanks for letting us know. I am closing this thread now.

    Regards,

@champsupertramp Is there an ETA on when this fix will be available?

lifedsire – The fix was really with the Ultimate Member plugin. It is part of their latest release (Version 2.1.11)

@denstl Thanks. I have the latest version but I’m still seeing that issue.

Strange. That release solved my issue immediately. Right now I am at Ultimate Member release Version 2.1.11 and Visual Composer release Version 30.1. It was the UM release that solved the issue for me.
