I am not too familiar with PHP, so I apologize in advance if this question is obvious.
How can I change the visual aspect of the plugin?
I am looking to make the h3 title much smaller, and aligned to the left
I also want to leave more room for the title under the thumbnail, because I tend to have really long post titles.
I have a series of posts that doesn’t use images. When I installed the plugin, the thumbnail was the blue WordPress logo, so I’ve changed the image file directly in the PHP file “baw-manual-related-posts/inc/frontend-noajax.inc.php” is this what I was supposed to do? Is this the wrong way to go about it?
You can easily override the styles with your own CSS. Use Firebug to inspect the elements and play around.
For the image, no, that is not the right way. Check the plugin’s FAQ for more information. (You’ll use a Filter.)
Thanks for the quick reply! I really appreciate it.
Unfortunately I don’t understand the FAQ at all (I’m barely a pre-novice at PHP). I think I’ll wait for a more simple plugin (if one ever gets created) because I don’t want to risk shutting down my site by playing with PHP/CSS (again. As I have done at least 3 times previously, heh).
I actually plan on writing code to change the default image and dimensons this week. I’ll post back after doing so to share.
You can’t really break anything with just CSS… but yes with PHP of course. 🙂
