    Amazing plugin. With this ONE tool we’re able to do so much!

    Nevertheless I’m having some issues. I’m editing a PAGE and in the AAM dialog on the page edit, I’m trying to manage VISITOR access. Specifically, I want visitors to have to log-in to see this page so I’m trying to redirect them to the wp-login.php page.

    1st problem – I put in the URL I want them to be redirected to. I click UPDATE in the AAM modal dialog. Then I click on the checkbox. If I click on the “change” link to go back into the modal dialog to specify the URL, it’s still there. Good. NOW, if I click on the page edit UPDATE button and THEN go back to manage the visitors and click on the “change” link to specify the URL, the contents have disappeared. It’s as if I never entered any redirect URL. HOWEVER – the data is still in the aam-post-access-visitor record in postmeta in the database.

    2nd problem – When I try to access the page as a visitor I get a white rectangle on a white page. It looks like the “access denied” page without any text. I did this in Chrome and looked at the console at the same time and it showed a 500 (Internal Server Error) on the GET of the page.

    So at the moment the visitor redirect is not happening as I think it’s supposed to. Can you help?
    Thanks!

  • Oh yeah – I’m on version 5.4.3.2 of AAM on 4.9.8 of WordPress with the SiteOrigin Vantage theme and just a few plugins (new test site). I deactivated all plugins except AAM and I still have the same problem.

    Hi @dleigh,
    Check if your aam-post-access-visitor postmeta has s:0:””. Changing this to s:17:”frontend.location” made the redirect work.

    For example:
    a:2:{s:17:”frontend.redirect”;s:1:”1″;s:0:””;s:6:”page|9″;}
    a:2:{s:17:”frontend.redirect”;s:1:”1″;s:17:”frontend.location”;s:6:”page|9″;}

    This got me going for now, also reported the issue.

    Same issue, the solution don’t work for me, it’s alreday on s17, any other solution?

    @dleigh as I understand you are trying to redirect all visitors to the login page before they can see a particular page right?

    Make sure to follow these guides –> https://aamplugin.com/article/how-to-redirect-wordpress-user-on-login-and-logout
