Visitors loosing connection with Quick Chat

I have some issues with visitors using Quick Chat. Firstly they tend to drop out often but leave their nickname which stays visible for ten minutes. When the visitor tried to log in again they are forced to use another nickname until their previous one disappears. Even then the new name takes up to 2-3 minutes to change from Guest XXX.
The strange thing is I never drop out and seem to be the only one who doesn’t even when logged on as a normal visitor.
No one has registered names.
Any light on these issues would be appreciated.
