• I use the standard password protected post form that comes with wordpress. so when a visitor wants to visit a password protected page he/she fill out a form which includes their email address. WHERE can I find these email addresses stored and how to recover them.

  • I have never had to provide an e-mail address when I enter the password for a WordPress post. Mostly, when I do have to provide an e-mail address for access to things I give a false or throwaway address so that I will never see any mail sent to it. My favourite false address is someone@example.com

    Are you perhaps using a plugin that asks for an address?

    It’s part of the GENESIS optimal theme. You have a choice of private or password protected posts. If you choose password protected, the visitor has to click on a password request page. They are then sent to a page which you create and and which at the end has the form and the form consists of

    It’s not the “the standard password protected post form that comes with wordpress”, then. And I can’t find any “optimal” theme at wordpress.org. Is it a theme that you paid for, in which case you can expect support from whoever markets it?

    yes it is paid but the password request form is standard with it I am pretty sure
