Support » Fixing WordPress » Visibility Edit Function Not Working

  • I’m trying to write a new post and several functions I’ve been using for 8 years aren’t working. I need to password protect the post, but when I hit the visibility edit function it moves the page down to the Tags section rather than open the drop-down menu of visibility choices. Also, I’m unable to insert links. I recently had some trouble with malware, but started using Sucuri a few days ago. The site is clean, but I don’t know if these issues are related to that. I’m waiting to hear from Sucuri, but thought I’d check here in case this is an issue others have had. Any idea what’s happening?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

    try:
deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
If you don’t have access to your Dashboard’s Appearance page, access your server via FTP/ SFTP

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks.
