• Hello.

    I’m a first time poster here and struggling a bit.

    I have a WP site for my portfolio – film & TV content – using a theme called “Zeus” which I bought from Themeforest a few years ago.

    All the films on the site are hosted at Vimeo but embedded at my site;

    http://www.matthewhuntley.com

    The embedded films used to have a button at the bottom of the screen that allowed viewers to switch to fullscreen. This button has recently disappeared.

    Vimeo is aware that some users are experiencing problems and have modified the embed code for each film. Here’s an example from my site:

    <iframe src=”https://player.vimeo.com/video/163760015&#8243; width=”640″ height=”360″ frameborder=”0″ webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>

    However this code doesn’t work and Vimeo think the problem lies with the WordPress site.

    I have run out of ideas and wonder if any of you kind folk might know how to fix this. I can load up screenshots if necessary.

    Cheers,

    M

  • When I inspect the player, I see it has a class of no-fullscreen-support, and there’s a CSS rule which hides the full screen button if the player has this particular class assigned to it.

    Are you using a plugin to display the videos? That is, instead of the player embedded on the page, the player appears to pop up in some sort of lightbox type element, and I think that’s why the player can’t be expanded to full screen. Is there a way of displaying the embedded player directly into the page instead of a thumbnail?

    I’m thinking it’s a “feature” of the Zeus theme called Pretty Photo that’s disabling the full screen option of the video. You might want to check the Zeus options to see if the Portfolio can be disabled for that page.

    Thanks for your speedy reply CrouchingBruin.

    I’ll look into the plugins and pretty photo feature later and get back to you.

    Cheers,
