Views Not Counting Properly

I have a website on the Bimber theme where the WPP plugin doesn’t count the views. I’ve had the theme checked and also the server. No issues

I’ve now just tested the WPP plugin on the default WP theme and it’s not working on that either. If you need to check anything please let me know or I can put you in touch with the theme developer.

It seems that the ajax call to count views is not executed, again this is affecting the default WP theme too not just the Bimber theme.

Alright, just checked one of your articles and the plugin seems to be working OK. I did notice though that Data Sampling is active, which basically means that WPP won’t track all of your traffic but a subset of it only (see here for more). This explains why you don’t see the stats being updated as soon as anyone visits one of your posts / pages.

Hi, thanks for the speedy response yet again!

Would you mind looking at the screen grab of the settings I have set for the plugin and let me know what I have done wrong and suggest what I should change?

Don’t worry about it 🙂

The thing with Data Sampling is that it’s recommended for high traffic sites. If yours isn’t getting a huge amount of visitors per day yet, you can do either of the following:
- Set Sampling Rate to a lower value (eg. 2).
- Disable Data Sampling until you start getting a lot of visitors.

Thank you I have set it to 2 for now.

What happens if I disable it, does it still count visits?

Yep, it’ll count all visits actually.
