viewlevel & brian’s latest comments

  • is there any way to hack the latest comments to prevent it from showing comments on posts hidden through viewlevel? if a person with a lower level clicks on the comnent, they are led to a 404, but the whole point of using the viewlevel plugin is that i don’t want a restricted person to know a restricted post exists.

  • anybody? i’m an idiot when it comes to php….

okay…. so i’ve dug through both plugins and realize i still need help. i’m trying to determine a user’s level and then compare it to the post’s viewlevel with the for loop for comments (as comment) in the recent comments plugin. however, attempts to use the viewlevel function directly (is viewlevel > userlevel) seem to break the for loop, causing it to output only the first comment — whether or not the comment should be viewed at that userlevel. any ideas? btw, the comment is being used on static page build like the ones podz suggests.

What recent comments plugin are you using?

god i´ve got the same problem. I haven´t found any solution yet. I i get something i´ll get you know…
