Support » Fixing WordPress » Viewing posts in both Chronological and default order

  • Hello,

I’ve been trying to come up with a solution for this for several weeks. I’m setting up a blog for a Car build. Right now the blog is on a Vbulletin thread on a forum that i own. (http://www.v6f-body.com/showthread.php?t=4310) I recently created my own website to host my own photos because of Photobucket and their crap. (www.frankforged.com)

So i have a website and i wanted to make a dedicated thread for my car build so people would not have to browse through 2000 posts but only 300 or so. (it been an active project for several years) here is the link to the wordpress site (http://www.frankforged.com/blog/96camaro/)

As the title suggests, I want to be able to look at this in Chronological order because that is how you read the story for this build. But I don’t want people that return and look at what has happened recently to have to scroll to the end of all the posts.

I currently have it in chronological order via plugin. I’ve attached a posts widget in the sidebar that has the recent posts listed. I really think it needs to be on a separate page.
    My questions are here:
-Can i have toggle for switching from chronological to the default view on the main page.
    OR
-can I have a page that shows them in Chronological order? or the recent posts with out them being excerpts?

I’ve looked at so many plugins and shortcode stuff that everything is fuzzy. I’m new to wordpress and i think i’m more newb than experienced when it comes to coding.

    Thanks in advance

    -Dustin
