    So I have completed the installation successfully can view the dashboard, enter posts etc…However when I click the link view site the holding page for my hosting provider still appears? Can anyone help?

    OK i have jut found the following advice from my hosting provider. Maybe a dumb question but where do I perform this task and which file do I overwrite from and to?

    “Your home page must be named index.html which will overwrite the page holder (this is the first page the server looks for when a request is made for your website)”

    You need to connect by ftp & rename the existing index.html to old_index.html or delete it. If the web server then doesn’t load the WordPress index.php by default, have another word with your host.
