# Viewing Blog – Full Posts

 * Hello:
 * I recently started my blog and I am having a couple problems. When I make a post,
   it just shows the first paragraph or a summary. I want it to show the full post
   and have the older post underneath of it etc. I went into the settings and then
   to reading and the radio dial is set to full text. Is that what I’m supposed 
   to? I have been trying to fix this for two weeks and haven’t been able to yet.

 * The other thing is: I would like to change the information down by the footer
   that starts with Meta and the information below it. So far I haven’t been able
   to. I appreciate any help that anyone might be able to give me.

 * Open index.php and page.php/single.php file in your theme and find this:
 * `the_excerpt()`
 * Replace with:
 * `the_content()`

 * Thanks a lot for helping me with that! Does anybody know how to stop it from 
   being highlighted in gray when you put your mouse over it? I don’t really like
   it but would be interested to hear what you guys think of it and if anybody knows
   how to turn it off.
