# Viewer Counter Broken

 * Hello,
 * I took the view counter off of my single page posts so visitors can’t see the
   page views. But when I did this, the back end dashboard stopped logging the page
   views. So it says that all my page views are 0 which is not the case.
 * How can I hid the view counter but still get the number of readers on the backend
   dashboard?

 * The view counter is part of our site’s theme Newspaper. I have an option to show
   it on each post or not but when I don’t show it I get no data on the backend.
