[resolved] Video's stopped displaying (8 posts)

    Without any change to my site the page with my youtube videos went blank. I logged in to the admin side and saw there was an update available for this plugin. I installed it but to no avail.

    In the Vixy YouTube Embed Lists my videos all show as valid. I have checked the page (via tetxt) and it looks fine.

    Some symptoms:

    - if I intentionally mis-spell a list - I get the expected error message on the page.
    - if I view source on the page - the links appear to be rendered by Vixy properly:

    <!-- Vixy YouTube Embed v3.0 -->
    <iframe frameborder="0" style="border: 0;" class="youtube-player" width="540" height="340" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DeRx3EdACP4?modestbranding=1&fs=1&rel=0&showinfo=0&iv_load_policy=3&playlist=Xyk31uZTzB0,NGK1nU-YWmk,tGafKv3EfbQ,Q4RohmqxPlQ,Vf6cfWc2Z7Q,3-AHqZNudO0,EV_I8AzFXrk&wmode=opaque" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen" ></iframe>
    <!-- End of YouTube Embed code -->

    Example is available at http://www.jkstraw.com - on the "video" page

    Update - so using the "YouTube Video Sample" at the bottom of the Vixy YouTube Embed Profiles page - Standard and 3D do NOT work when my profile is set to use IFRAME (which is what I have been using....i.e. support for iOS devices).

    When I select the flash players the video renders.....really stumped

    I think it's a problem with YouTube. I'm seeing the same thing, but if I go to https://developers.google.com/youtube/youtube_player_demo to test out an embed code, it doesn't work either. At first I thought it was the plugin, but even local html tests are giving me a big empty space where there was once a video.

    ok - cool. I'll switch to flash for the time being and check back in the morning (I am EST).

    Thanks for the quick response - really appreciate it.

    Looks like the root cause: http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/vP-kqllg53o

    All back to normal on my end and I did nothing. I don't think it had anything to do with the plugin.

    I go to bed and wake up all of this activity!

    I'm glad it's all sorted - unfortunately, YouTube do have a tendency to mess up the back-end sometimes but they are quite quick at resolving it when they do.
