# Videopress shortcode not working

 * Hi,
 * I have a premium version of Videopress. I tried using both the Videopress plugin
   and the Jetpack plugin (for Videopress) to embed a shortcode of a shareable video
   onto my self-hosted site but to no avail. This is the error I got:
 * “VideoPress Error. [http://www.mysite.com](http://www.mysite.com) is not an allowed
   embed site. Publisher limits playback of video embeds”
 * However, this is not true. Neither the site nor the video was restricted from
   sharing or embedding. Also, only the shortcodes do not work. If I were to embed
   the html code, the video will run.
 * I tried to determine if there were conflicts between different plugins on my 
   site with the videopress (and Jetpack) plugin. But this does not seem to be the
   case.
 * What is going on? Why is the shortcode not working?
