Looking into moving a video site with a little over 100 (and growing) 15-30 second 1080p and 4k video clips (averaging about 150-200mb per file) from AWS S3 to VideoPress in order to make the storage, download, and viewing of videos more cost-effective. My biggest concern is the bandwidth, as we are currently averaging around 5-6 TB of data transfer per month. From what I can find, VideoPress claims to have unlimited bandwidth included. Can you please confirm if this is true?

Also, where are the actual video files stored for self-hosted WordPress sites? Are they stored on the site’s server or offsite on VideoPress servers?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi @bkmacdaddy

This is true; we provide unlimited bandwidth provided that the usage fits within our Service Guidelines.

Also, where are the actual video files stored for self-hosted WordPress sites? Are they stored on the site’s server or offsite on VideoPress servers?

They are stored offsite on our servers (WordPress.com). This allows us to serve optimized videos via our CDN.

We have an FAQ that may answer additional questions, but if you have any others, let us know. We’re happy to help!
