Hi guys,

Since version 1.16, any video upload (drag and drop to the Web Story Media lib, to WS Page, or a Remove Audio) fails.

There’s a console error (same on Chrome and Edge) about ffmpeg-core.js:

Access to fetch at ‘https://wp.stories.google/static/15/js/@ffmpeg/core@0.10.0/dist/ffmpeg-core.js’ from origin ‘<<<masked>>>’ has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request’s mode to ‘no-cors’ to fetch the resource with CORS disabled.

This was not a problem before 1.16, it happens on multiple servers (all running the same up-to-date version of WordPress).

And there has been no config change on the server – I’m a little confused.

All other external js files (and other files) are working fine with the CORS policy.

  • Hi @damienmaurer thanks for your topic. A fix was implemented earlier today which should have cleared the CORS policy error you were previously getting. You will likely need to clear your browser cache for this to work.

To do this from a Chrome browser paste chrome://settings/privacy into your url bar at the top and Clear Browsing Data.

Once done could you again try this to see if the error has cleared and could you also let me know if the video upload issue persists?
