• I’m looking into hosting my video in Bunny CDN but am wondering if I need a video player to do so? If so, what do people recommend that would be very light and fast to load.

Also, looking at other inexpensive cloud video streaming Amazon AWS options but they seem a bit more expensive.

  • This is not a WordPress question.

@joyously Yes it is. It relates to WordPress and integrating video INTO WordPress. If you don’t have anything to add, you can certainly not add anything to the thread. =)

Really, it’s not about WordPress but about videos. If you want to try a test, you can use a sandbox at https://wpsandbox.net/ to see exactly what WordPress does with no plugins.

@joyously Nope. You are incorrect and have a lot to learn about being a helpful member of the community. If you have an insight, share it. If not, don’t come here to NOT help others in the community.

Part of being in this community is weeding out the questions that are not really WordPress. It is helpful to a lot of people. And we don’t like topics that ask for external recommendations because of spam.
If you upload a video to WP, it is put into a <video> element, but there is no interface right now to supply multiple sources for various formats. I think they are working on it.
But you are talking about an external video, and external videos are obviously not a part of WordPress. Only certain sites are supported for oEmbed (there is a list somewhere around here, besides in the code), and the HTML used is whatever the external site provides. Anything else would be handled with a simple link or a plugin, which obviously, is not part of WordPress.

@joyously You missed the question entirely & are not understanding what I am asking. Your answer was the equivalent of RTFM and no what anyone should receive that type of a response in this community. If you were attempting to be helpful, you weren’t.

A helpful reply in this case would be something like this:

    Embeds

Embeds are available for a limited number of sites such as those listed in the link above. Additional plugins are available for more extensive features.

hey @evit you can use Curator Studio YouTube for embedding your YouTube channel on your site with tons of customization and features. https://wordpress.org/plugins/curator-studio-youtube/. Visit https://curatorstudio.io for more info.
