Video, Picture, Audio (Media) Archive Pages

    I am getting ready to launch my new blog and currently have a Media dropdown from my main menu that has subpages for Pictures, Video, and Audio and would like to use these pages for media archives.

    I.e.
    – A pictures page that displays all pictures used in all posts (perhaps in a gallery organized by month or something)
    – A separate videos page that displays all videos used in all posts (perhaps in a gallery organized by month or something)
    – A separate audio page that displays all audio used in all posts (perhaps in a gallery organized by month or something)

    Any ideas about how to go about this? Perhaps a plugin, but would prefer not to use a plugin.

    There’s no built-in delineation between media types (images, video, etc), but something like Media Tags would do that. You can then make those pages archives of the media tags.
