    You can not use Videos in your slider, as you try to automatically make those videos into embedded versions, not caring about the intention behind the video.

    I can’t just link to a video and open it in a lightbox, because the lightbox link will get turned into a non-functioning video iframe.

    Not only does it not work with all links, because everything gets replaced with an iframe, it also takes away many possibilities for designing your testimonials around video content.

    Please make this feature optional.

    Hi sighan,

    I am sorry to hear you are having issues using Videos with our plugin.

    The Social Proof Slider plugin was designed to embed videos directly into the testimonials content, as shown in the screenshots on the plugin page… The plugin was not designed to open videos into a popup lightbox — this was not the intended behavior so we did not add the code to do this.

    If you would like to have a link which opens your video in a popup lightbox, I’m sure there are lots of other plugins available to accomplish this… You could theoretically use a popup link in the testimonials text content and have your video popup as expected.
