    Hey everyone,

Im developing a video website at the moment and i’m using S3Media-Jwplayer which is working fine to stream HLS from Cloudfront. However i’m a little stumped on how to go about setting up the flow of my site. And locking it all down with Magic Members for subscription based viewing!

I was hoping to have an easy system where videos could be placed in Posts or Pages (not sure) and then the home page could display the latest video. Under them I was hoping to have a 5 star rating or thumbs up/down system with a favorite button etc. Also wanted top videos, videos coming soon linked to a trailer etc. A lot like youtubes system, I was wondering if I could use buddypress or something like that to plugin so they can have favorites etc.

Hoping there might be some plugins or simple way to modify the blog / projects system. At the moment i’m just using the posts for blogs and the projects to add individual pages with embedded videos however it seems like a lot of manual work and was wondering if there was an automated system to create a youtube/vimeo style site. Also it’s NSFW website so i’m limited to where I host content hence using S3/Cloudfront!

    Thanks in advance!

That’s quite a list and I don’t know if you are aware or not but you’ve basically posted a job spec. Have you considered posting to a jobs board? These volunteer forums are not really for this sort of topic.

If you just asked “How do I embed <INSERT ODD VIDEO FORMAT HERE> in my WordPress site” then yes, you are in the right place. But you’ve a set of well defined requirements and that’s the sort of conversation you want to have with other developers/designers.

Sorry about posting in the wrong spot, I just joined up! I wasn’t sure if perhaps a certain plugin existed for free or purchase or if were a developers job! Now I know, cheers!
