Support » Plugin: Video Background » Video Background broke Enhanced Media Library

  • After installing Video Background, Enhanced Media Library, which was working perfectly prior to the install, fails to show anything in the library. I’ve deleted Video Background but this hasn’t fixed the issue. I’ve also deleted and reinstalled Enhanced Media Library but this didn’t fix the issue either. The regular Media Library works in the meantime but can anyone help me to get Enhanced Media Library up and running again?

  • Well, in attempting to fix the issue myself I added define(‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true); to wp-config.php, saved the file and now Enhanced Media Library works again. Go figure, must have been a corrupt wp-config file causing the issue! Don’t fancy trying Video Background again just in case.

    Hi @flockofclouds,

I am Nadia, an author of Enhanced Media Library. I received a notification because you mentioned our plugin. To be fair, I installed Video Background 2.5.8 with Enhanced Media Library 2.4.3 and they works well together. Please let us know if you face any issue with Enhanced Media Library in the future.

    Hi flockofclouds,

Can you please elaborate on the issue you were experiencing? Video Background does not modify any core files, and only saves a few settings through the official WordPress functions.

    Thanks for using Video Background.
