• I have entered the word “poker” under the list of common spam words in my WP options.

And decided to test it out…

Went to my site, entered a comment “free online poker”

and the comment showed up when it was supposed to be moderated?!?

Furthermore, the Spam Karma plugin is also running on my site… >_<

  • Tried it with my 6th(?) jan build: the poker comment is not allowed after the Mr WordPress comment (the first test post comment after installing), but it is when I make another comment first. So after 2 comments I can put in what I want.

    So that means… ?

Is this a problem WordPress overlooked? Or something to do with my spam-karma installation?

Well, if you’re entering “Poker” into Spam-Karma, then it’s a Spam-Karma problem as Spam-Karma is not an official WordPress plugin. Contact the dev.

I entered the word “poker” into the list of common spam words in WP options, not the Spam karma. 🙂

My comment is just here to comfirm the problem in a regular WP (beta) installation without the Karma plugin.

Though if that plugin didn’t prevent the comment it might be faulty too.

Hmm… then how do I go about fixing the problem? 😮

If it’s a Nightly Build problem, report it to the proper authorities and wait for the next Nightly Build.

    I’ve already done that.

I deactivated “Spam Karma” and now the comment moderation list works just fine.

So I guess it may be the plugin that caused the problem. >_< But the README file did mention something about having to post at least entry after installing the plugin in order for the blacklist to work. I guess I’ll try it again later.

Spam Karma whitelists comments by yourself. If it can discern it’s you, that is. And it has an option you can set about using the built-in antispam stuff or not.
