What do you want to do in particular?
It does appear that the theme authors help people out on the WordPress.org forums. I don’t see the issue with creating a thread in the plugin’s support forum – It’s the same process when you’re stuck with any plugin.
Unless you’re paying for this plugin I’m not sure how your expectations of support are fair here.

If you think that it’s so easy to me alone support and develop 2 plugins (Flagallery and Gmedia) and website about plugins with Forum then you’re wrong. I should answer dozens of questions on Forum everyday + add new features to plugin, fix bugs and conflicts with other plugins + help premium users to install and set up plugin.
I have no team or company, there is only me who make all of this. And instead of say “Great job! Keep working” you said that “using it fiddly and awkward and there is no any instructions”.
Yes, there is no instructions because I HAVE NO TIME TO MAKE THEM.
People, just be patient. I’ll make tutorial sooner or later. But if you don’t like my hard work, just go away or make something better by yourself.
I agree with @azzam. The design is very awkward and user-unfriendly, it takes a while to figure out how to complete simple steps – Including importing images.
I understand you are busy Rattus but please find the time to make a simple tutorial or provide clear step-by-step instructions for this plugin. You’d have less people bugging you with questions, so it’d be beneficial for you in the end.
