Support » Plugin: BetterDocs - Best Documentation & Knowledge Base Plugin » VERY USEFUL plugin, minor kinks

  • PROS:
The plugin is very useful and pleasant to the eye, has a few things they could fix.
I am using Betterdocs for my site and also using the instant answer chat float button which ads a great profesional feel to the site. Very easy for users to get the FAQs right there with a beautiful graphic design. It beats Zoho by a LOT. no need for custom code or anything it just works.
Some of the custom color and design settings are not updated to the shortcode version of the knowledgebase pages. And other issue with a margin setting acting up. Fortunately Betterdocs has a VERY proactive team. I contacted them and withing 48 hours they had manually logged into my wordpress account and fixed the issue. So kudos for a very active tech support. Thanks.

    Hi @josetania

Thanks for your nice review. As you know we are actively developing the plugin, lots of new features and improvements are coming in the next version and hopefully, you will get more controls to change the design. If you use the Elementor page builder, you can already achieve any kind of design for the Knowledge Base. Please feel free to get in touch with support if you need assistance with this. Rest assured your feedback is addressed with utmost importance and we will improve it to get 5 stars review from you.

@re_enter_rupok Hey Rupok, chiming in here as I have a one star review with no further response from support in a week regarding your misleading statement above that “if you use Elementor you can can achieve any kind of design for the Knowledge Base” –

This is completely incorrect and even verified in a response from your support team and hence the 1 star review and non-answered questions I have here in reviews.

As you must know, YES, you can style the first landing page of BetterDocs with Elementor and shortcake, but NO, you cannot style anything else – you can’t style the actual Docs/Articles pages with Elementor at all – you have to use your very limited and cumbersome plugin ‘design/layout’ tabs or Customizer. This is frustrating and misleading that you advertise integration with Elementor but the most important page to style and control – the actual Docs page where the TOC, article/document, breadcrumbs, etc are cannot be styled by Elementor. If it can, please let us know how!
