• Hi,

We are experiencing very strange behaviour on our WordPress installation. We are getting the age old error:

W3 Total Cache Error: Files and directories could not be automatically created to complete the installation.
Please execute commands manually	View required changes
or use FTP form to allow W3 Total Cache make it automatically.	Update via FTP

When Total Cache is enabled we are unable to change .htaccess at all, it will not even upload back to the server. When we disable Total Cache we can alter the .htaccess but when TC is re-enabled the .htaccess reverts to its original state!

Very frustrated and confused! Please help! We have no security plugins installed.

    Thanks

    Matt

Apparently not. It seems that we will have to disable total cache to make changes via ftp which is very odd. I will check this periodically incase someone has an answer one day.

    Thanks
