Very slow loading website with only 8 plugins – help make faster

    My website is very slow to load pages. I have only 8 plugins and a few images (like logos but not pics,etc.). Are all wordpress websites super slow or can this be fixed/optimized?

    The URL is rateaPartner.com. It crashed today with only 2000 visitors. My host provider said the wordpress queries had problems…?? Thanks for your help.

    It most often is a plugin. Turn them all off and try it. Put them back one at a time.

    Also you can search too many queries and check the server log.

    How do I “search too many queries” and where do I check the server log. This is new to me and I apologize for my ignorance.

    I meant search too manny queries here at wp or google.

    The server log (error log) should be available thru c-panel or what ever front-end you use to manage your site on the server.

    And the answer appears to be GEARS.
    In the browser under Tools I found Gears Settings.
    When I disabled the site everything returned to normal.
