I hope that the answers I get here might help others with the same issue as me. * I run a shop on a very overpowered VPS(CPU: Intel Xeon E312xx (Sandy Bridge) @ 8x 2.2GHz, with 16GB of ram), currently I am importing a csv file with about 5000 rows. About 3 products per 10 seconds. I don’t have any SEO plugins installed yet.
