First to clarify, Running WordPress 4.4 Multisite with Domain mapping 0.5.5.1

This is a new site that is under development and nearly ready to launch barring this one bug.

I have Subdomain setup and the Domain Mapping set to IP.

If I access a subsite.com with a wp siteurl of mainsite.com/subite/ address the page takes around 25-30sec to load.

If I change the wp siteurl of that subsite to the subsite.com address (that is setup as primary domain in domain mapping) then the same site loads in under 5 sec.

I can repeat this over and over. The speed test shows long wait times on items coming from mainsite.com/subite/ url’s but much faster when directly using the domain.

I have spent 2 weeks trying to nail down the slowness of the site and I think I have nearly found the cause, being domain mapping plugin problem.

Also, may or may not be related, but I cannot enable the Remote Login option. I tick and save it is removed again.

    Just an update.

I still have a problem with the remote login checkbox, but the slowdown was actually caused by a bad .htaccess file.

I urge anyone with a similar setup, that have long wait times on page tests, then double check your .htaccess file.

So 99% solve, still looking for solution to checkbox issue.
