  • I will soon be transitioning away from this nice-looking theme; it’s far too slow to be usable once your site has a reasonable amount of material.

    Follow-up from ThemeGrill’s repsonse: I’ve switched out the theme to a lighter-weight theme, and the site load times sped up considerably with the same content. It’s the theme.

    Yes, adding more and more content, especially images within your site will create slow site loading with any of the theme used within your site, not only this one. However, maybe you can follow this link: to speed up your site and see if it can help you out somehow?

    Firstly, sorry for the bad experience that you had with our theme.

    Coming to your issue of site’s slow loading speed time. I guess theme is just one of the many factors that determine the site speed, there are many others like used hosting, hosting settings and resources, site content, plugins used, etc. If you could open a new thread in the forum with your site link, we would love to check your site and help you with suggestions on how can it be made faster.

    If you think there are areas, theme options or anything where theme could be made better in terms of speed and others, we would certainly love to hear those and implement those in theme updates if found necessary. I guess we are in the same team here 🙂 , we both want for the theme to be better and your site to look better and load faster. Also, there is good news, we are working on a major update for ColorMag theme in which we will be refactoring theme code, customizer options to make the ColorMag theme faster than ever. We do understand that a magazine theme will always have lots of content to display so, we are working to make everything better with the new ColorMag major update ColorMag 2.0 (we estimate the release time to be around a month time, we are currently collecting all the feedback that we can get from support queries and direct suggestions).

    Lastly, about the review’s message. The message should go away once you Dismiss or provide your review. We will double-check on it if the message is appearing more than once and if there is any such issue, it will be fixed. While asking review, we do not just ask for the review, there is also a button Got theme support question? which users can use if they have any query, so that, we can help the users if there is any issue. We are determined to make the theme better. If you check we have started to provide every support query here since last 4-5 months. Each query is replied for all free theme users. So, we would love to help in your case and have the review updated as well. 🙂
