VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH SHIPPING CHARGES!

    Hello everybody!
    I have been using wordpess/woocommerce for quite a few years now but facing a VERY serious problem,regarding postage charges added by the ‘system’,despite my efforts over the years,was impossible to solve it!!!Just today ,a customer tried to purchase an item weighing 10 grams and he was charged 68.00 GBP ,a crazy amount!the worst is that potential customers do not return back after facing such a ridiculus situation…So,within woocommerce/settings/shipping there are zones with their shipping methods,zones are domestic,Europe,rest of the world.For example,for shipping zone/domestic there are 5 shipping methods flat rate .So,the critical question is why the ‘system’charged a random amount and not any of the already existing ones???THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!

    Can you provide a link to the product so we can test it? Also, what postcode were they using?

    Are you sure the weight is set to 10g and not 10kg?

    If you go to WooCommerce-Settings-Shipping and the Shipping Options tab you can tick the Debub Mode box – this will show you what Zone is being triggered in the checkout.

    hello seank123,thank you for responding…well,I think that very clearly have emphasised that,the shipping charges was just random and totaly wrong,there is not any such an amount appearing withing all settings that exist,your comment about post code used ,yes it was correct,within the U.K. but even a post code from Antarctic or whatever cannot connect to this amount -68.00GBP-simply does not exist as have repeatedly noticed…the same applies to the wight the majority of listed items are electronic components lightwight/small in dimentions…after the first incident had carefully checked weights/sizes entered…also tried the deb dode link ,the zone triggered is correct,I am giving the link with the item listing but not shure if this will help…also,once, for same item/customer,he ordered the same item after a couple of days, shipping charges were different!!thank you.

    Thank you for sharing the product link. I tried to check the product but it shows Nothing Found Here. It looks like the product has been removed https://d.pr/i/dggkUl. Could you please share a valid product link so that we can check?

2.two more recent orders placed from overseas customers did not create any problem with shipping charges...unfortunately it comes to be  random...

    the simple question renains,why Woocommerce original platform is not functioning properly on this point and need plug ins for that….also do not know how thousands of other users have found a solution on this always critical point…

    I am not sure I fully understand your question. The default shipping functionality of WooCommerce is working properly and I am not aware of any bug. Is there anything that didn’t go well for you? Could you please explain a bit more?
