Support » Plugin: WP-Matomo (WP-Piwik) » Very serious incompatibility with member plugins (very urgent)

  • Resolved jose2015

You have a very serious incompatibility with the member plugins.
For example, ‘Ultimate memberships pro’ (CodeCanyon)
When I click on login form of Ultimate memberships to log in, an error occurs:
    “XML reading error: malformed
    Line number 11, column 2: itemtype = “”
    ——– ^”
I have disabled plugins to investigate which is responsible and is the WP-Piwik plugin. You must have some incompatibility. With other member management plugins, for example ‘Ultimate Member’ also has problems.
An ‘XML malformed’ error occurs when an image is uploaded to the user profile from the front end.
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards,
    Jose A.

    Sounds like this one:

If you are using PHP mode, please switch to HTTP. This should solve the issue.

It seems to be caused by the sent headers and only appears if Piwik PHP files are included. I’m still not sure if I can solve this issue by changes in WP-Piwik.

Can you please also check the source code of the malformed XML and your error logs? Maybe these contain a hint.

Yes, that’s the solution, I’ve changed ‘Piwik Mode’ to Self-hosted (HTTP API, default) and now no such errors occur.
    Best regards,

The Yoast onfiguration wizard issue is solved in 1.0.17. Please give it a try, too. I tested with Ultimate Member and wasn’t able to reproduce the problem anymore. If it does not work, please re-open this thread. Thanks!
