Thanks, Nick. As for the Toggle Breakpoint, I’ve tested and it definitely works on every theme I’ve tested on, so please be sure you are using just a numeric value and don’t add px on the end.

Happy to help you troubleshoot in the forum if you can post a link as well 🙂

    Best,

    Chris

Listen, when you test things at 4am, you do and say stupid things. I don’t know why, but I thought the breaking point was for scrolling down the page like a “sticky” menu. After reading your answer at the support page, I immediately realized if for the size of the screen, as it should.

So, I was putting a value of 100, and expencint the menu to show up, when scrolling down the page by more than 100px, and obviously it was not working. The plugin works like a charm, puting a value of 960 lets say, the menu shows up if the screen size is smaller then 960px, thus making it responsive…

May I suggest also adding a “sticky” breakpoint value, so we can enjoy this beauty in desktop mode as well? So a value of 300, will make the menu to show up after I scroll down the page by 300px. The 2 breakpoints have to be independant from each other of course to work.

In light of my total stupidity, and I have to apologize to you at least a million times, thanks for the quick replies, this plugin deserves 10 out of 5 stars.

Can’t wait for the pro. version…

Haha no worries! I know how you feel with the sleep deprivation 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion, that’s an interesting idea, and not something I’ve seen before. Actually, if you have an example link where you’ve seen something like this implemented, I’d be interested in taking a look.

I think normally on a desktop site, most users like to have their sticky menu display an actual expanded menu (rather than just the menu toggle), but there could be use cases for this as well (just not sure how common it is). I’ll have to put some thought into whether that makes sense as a primary plugin feature, or something I’d write a customization tutorial for.

Thanks again for your feedback and rating!

    All the best,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

I have things on localserver but I prepared a 2.5 minute silent video to demonstrate. I’m using a theme called Marie that I created, your plugin of course, and a plugin called “Sticky Header by Thematosoup” found in this web sites plugin depository. The responsive breakpoint is at 1099px.

    What the video shows:

    – The theme/site without your plugin, so the responsive menu is a hamburger button, which slides the page down to display the menu… then the fun begins

    – Using the responsive breakpoint of 1099 I’m able to manipulate both plugins to get the desired outcome. with your plugin I can hide the original navigation bar, so no hamburger menu in the responsive views.

It would be great if your plugin would could replace the “sticky header” plugin as well.

    Here is the video:

Thanks a million, I wish all developers would be like you. This plugin will definitely find it’s place in my themes either way. Very impressive!

    Hey Nick,

Thanks very much for taking the time to put that together! I’m on the road for the next few days but will definitely give this a look over when I return.

    Thanks again!

    Hey Nick,

Thanks again for putting this together. I’ve put a sticky/reveal-on-scroll feature on my to-do list 🙂

    All the best,

    Chris

Wow, you are awesome! This is already one of my fav. plugins, and it’s about to get even better.

    Thanks a million Chris.
