Very odd site description when pulling up the site on Google.

  • Up until this morning my site description has been working flawlessly. All of the sudden it has changed to something about Pay Day Loans. Where is it getting this info and how do I get rid of it? The site is tedrobinsonphoto.com
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Has your website recently been hacked ?

please see where is the fake description

BTW on your page you doesn’t have any <meta description> tag

How would I go about knowing if it has been hacked?

I changed the header.php back to what it was 2 months ago, but the home page has some weird grey boxes that show up randomly now.

the <meta descrition> tag was there a few days ago, I guess I’ll re-add it.

    Thanks for your help!

I think, if you haven’t put on your OWN this code in the homepage of your WP website, i think you have been hacked… otherwise I don’t get how some texts about others website (pay day cash ect) has been integrated in your website…

Change your passwords (FTP, mysql, ect) to be sure, and update your WP + WP’s (ALL) plugins

All have been changed. The description is still the Pay Day info even though I have changed everything.

    That’s quite normal.

Google’s robot will index again your site after min. 14 days…

You can force to re-index your website with Google Tools ect.

    KR
