Hi @grim_cris,
Google PageSpeed Insights is built before AMP. Because AMP is a different technology which was built after the Pagespeed tool, they are yet to calibrate it for AMP.
You can test the AMP URL on gtmetrix, and I’ve tested it’s giving the 90% above score. As you can see on this URL: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/cristianflorea.ro/OITD9J9r
You can also check by providing the URL on this link: https://gtmetrix.com/
Hope it helps.
Thank you
Hi,
Thank you for your reply! On GTMetrix, if you are looking at the Waterfall Chart, you’ll see that the server load time is very, very slow (5.52 seconds in your example). That’s the problem, the fact that it takes too much to get the informations from the server. After it manages to get it, the rest it’s very fast.
Also, you can try to access /amp/ from you mobile phone and you will notice the delay.
Thank you!
Hi @grim_cris,
Are you using any cache plugin for non-amp version & for mobile devices? If yes, can you please share the name of the plugin?
Hi,
Yes, I’m using WP Super Cache Plugin.
Thanks!
Hi @grim_cris,
For testing purpose, can you please change the AMP design from the “Theme selector” option of AMP Panel settings? and test it.
let us know
Hi,
I’ve changed the theme with Design Three and there still are 3 seconds of Server Response Time.
Thanks!
[ Please do not bump. ]
Let’s go to the root of this issue and fix it.
Here’s how we will proceed:
Install query monitor plug in and then go to homepage and share the query results
And do the same for a single post as well
