• Once installed, this plugin will permanently display this nag screen in your WP Admin, no matter how often you dismiss it:

Did Patreon WordPress help your site? Help creators like yourself find out about it by giving us a good rating!

If I find an alternative plugin I’ll use that, if only to finally get rid of this nag displaying on top of every page of my WP Admin.

Other than that: very basic plugin, but does what it says. Sync is very, very slow though …
Not sure I’ll ever go Pro on this plugin. Very put off by the constant nag and basic and crude functions of this plugin.
Also very confused about the 2 upgrades and what the actual difference is. Never did get a clear response.

That is very odd. That callout is dismissable. If its not being dismissed when you click it, there must be something odd with your installation. First, check if any JavaScript errors appear in the browser console when you click the dismiss button. It may be a JS error, or it may be an error coming from the server when the callout contacts it to dismiss itself.

Also make sure that if you are using object caching like Redis etc, its not showing you a cached result that it does not clear. That was a reason why this issue happened in the past a few times.

FWIW, the message — Did Patreon WordPress help your site? Help creators like yourself find out about it by giving us a good rating! — keeps reappearing after I dismiss it, but only on this latest version of the plugin (I don’t think it happened before…)

I just tested it on a clean WP install on a different domain. Same issue.

Both of you post threads at the official forum https://www.patreondevelopers.com/c/patreon-wordpress-plugin-support/11 here so that we can look into this please.

This was a bug – fixed in 1.9.3 -> just update and it should get dismissed when you dismiss it.
