• Sorry for a simple question – but I am looking to see if this plugin will satisfy a very basic use case. I want to deploy a WOrdpress site on an employee focused extranet, fitting into the existing Active Directory structure my client already has. All I am looking for is to set up the site to authenticate simple site access – just access to the site itself with no involvement in publishing or any activity of function within wp-admin. What I am looking for is the equivalent of “Is this user authenticated to the company AD instance? If so, show site content with no access to wp-admin. Other than that deny access to see the site”.

Does this plugin support this use case? Is there a better approach to this?

    Thank you.

  • That is more or less what we do for our Intranet, so yes.

You probably have though about it, but if not. Since you are going to make this an Extranet I assume it will be on the Intranet so please remember to use SSL for the Site and TLS for the AD authentication so no sensative data is sent unencrypted.
