VERY ATYPICAL WordPress theme

    I’m giving this theme 1 star for several reasons – – none of those is because its a bad theme.

    1. If you purchase customizr, even though the two plugins from this developer are “included”, if you decide to not use the theme, he won’t let you use the plugins separately without paying for them again.

    2. This theme is not written or constructed in the typical wordpress way, so if you need help, most forums and sources for online help are worthless.

    3. I frequently take wordpress themes and adjust them to my clients’ needs, unless you use only the provided customizations (and there are a lot) this theme is highly UN-CUSTOMIZABLE. Everything I tried to change involved another filter in the function.php file.

    This theme is too far removed from the standard wordpress way of doing things.

    Hi !

    Even if your review is not really nice to read for me :), I would tend to agree : Customizr Pro users should be able to get the plugins with a special offer. To be honest, I have launched Customizr Pro just a bit more than one month ago, I did not really have the time to think to all marketing issues, and you have raised an excellent point.

    Please contact me with this form about the plugins and I’ll do something for you.

    Please find below my answers to your 3 points :
    1) The features you get in Customizr Pro are not plugins and can’t be used like plugins. The stand alone plugins can be used in any WordPress themes, and have specific developments when used outside of the Customizr theme.

    2) The theme has been validated by an experienced team of reviewers and respects all the required WordPress theme guidelines, and most of all recommended ones.

    3) I do site for clients as well and that’s why I’ve developed this theme using many filters and actions : looking how WordPress core was built, I have come to the conclusion that using hooks was the best way to extend WordPress, and create a clean, scalable, modular code.

    We have put so much efforts and work to respect the WordPress standards!

    Is beeing atypical a bad thing anyway 🙂 ?
