  • As far as I know this does not come out of the box.

    Workaround
Edit the size of your photograph in photoshop.

    Example
    Slideshow settings are:

    • width 600 pixel
    • proportional relationship 3:2

Your landscape pic has a size of 1800 x 600 pixel.
    What you could do:

    • Create a file in photoshop (pixel: 600 x 400).
    • Check if the background is transparent (in case you need that).
    • Insert your landscape photograph, vertically center it.
    • Save it either as jpg (if you don’t need a transparent backgroundno tranparency!) or png (for transparency).

    G’day Frank,

Yeah there is that option and it is probably what I’ll end up doing. My main concern is what will happen if I hand a finished site off to a client who is technical enough to add images via the CMS but not enough to prepare them in Photoshop first.

    Cheers,
    Pt.
