    Hi guys,
This may be a controversial question, but with mediaelements being included in WP core from v3.7, is there still a need to use VideoJS?

Certainly I would think the need isn't as great as it was before. I'm glad to see mediaelements in WordPress (even if I would have preferred video.js) as it means HTML5 video is moving forward. This plugin still does provide some features and options for greater customization that aren't included in mediaelements, so for some it will be a better option.

In a nutshell, the mediaelements.js player that is integrated into WP 3.7 (and up) has a really crappy skin, and does a horrible job in terms of being responsive. In my opinion, they did a rather piss-poor job integrating it.

I use video.js and it's clean, responsive and will stream Apple HLS streams.

Now, if only the video.js plugin supported YouTube better (i.e. currently it garbles YouTube URLs).
