# Versioning with multiple developers

 * I am working on a wordpress website with a few colleagues (developers and data
   entry).
 * I know that WordPress has versioning but can this cause problems with multiple
   developers working together in the same website?
 * What would be the safest way (versioning, backup etc.) to secure this website?

 * What do you mean by versioning?
    WP itself has a version, as do plugins and themes.
   Any CSS and scripts that are loaded have versions, which default to the WP version
   if not specified.
 * The post content has revisions, which are indicated by the post type and the `
   parent` field.

 * By securing the website I meen that I want to be able to roll back errors made
   by other users. So if one user made a mistake I can return to a previous version
   of the site without deleting the work that other users have made.
