Hi – I just started using Memphis Document Library – very nice plugin. I’m trying to understand how the versioning works and haven’t found any documentation that answers my question. If I upload a document, then upload a new version of the same document (same name, same filename, same category) I would expect it to overwrite the document with the same attributes, and bump the version. Instead it uploads a copy of the same document and appends 1 to the title. Am I missing something?

    Thanks

you need to upload the file into the same context. So for example.

    1. You goto “Add New Document” and add a new file call dog.txt
    2. You have a new edit to the file dog.txt so you want to upload it.
    3. Goto the file dog.txt and click on the filename, you should see a dropdown menu.
    4. Click on the Link that says “Manage File”
    5. Upload the new dog.txt file.
    6. Click on the dog.txt file again and click the link “Manage Version”
    7. You should see the new dog.txt file as well as the old dog.txt file.
