Since migrating my development site to production, Contact Form 7 v5.0.1 just shows a spinning icon after clicking Submit button. I am using POST SMTP (works, just tested an email send), Really Simple Captcha (API keys setup and authorized) and reCAPTCHA (API keys set up and assigned in Integration tab) from google in the Contact Form 7 form.

It works fine in my development site but not in production – very confused. Just for kicks and grins, I deactivated/deleted and re-installed POST SMTP, Contact Form 7 and Really Simple Captcha plus re-built all API keys but nothing changed.

FAQ > The spinning arrow icon shows up once I submit a form, but then nothing happens.

Been there/done that. Both Development and Production are using the same plugins and theme and it works just fine in development. Here is the development site: http://test.corvetteclubsantabarbara.com The production site has the same URL less the sub-domain test.

There is clearly an issue with the latest version of Contact Form 5.01. I installed version 4.7 of the plugin and it now works correctly. I will not update the plugin until there is a fix for the current version or switch to another plugin.
