  • It broke mine as well, I rolled back to the previous version

fwkart, I have tried to replicate your suggestion by switching the Optimized DOM Output on/off. That does not solve the issues I’m experiencing with 3.0.1 (mainly issues with font and colors).

Can you explain what problems switching on/off the optimized DOM output solves on your install(s)?

The exact same problems. I don’t know if this works for everyone.

If you have made changes to the design, save them. Go to your frontend, reload the page (because of cache), change to the Elementor settings (Tab -> Advanced) and set the “Optimized DOM Output” option to ON. Save the settings and reload your page. Now the page should be destroyed. Go back to the settings (Tab -> Advanced) and set the option to OFF. Save and reload the page.

    This works for me.

Ok. That does not work for me, but I’m glad it helps for you. Please don’t consider it a general solution to the 3.0.x problems yet, as there seems to be other issues with this update.

Element or 3.0.1 destroys website images and other website resources especially for website users using astra and Divi theme and so on. Do not update to 3.0.1 the version is bad

@sk8bft too bad. I’m sure they are working on a fix. My tip: downgrade to a stable earlier version.

    Hi @fwkart

We are sorry for your inconvenience.

If you cannot update the typography or lose previous typography/colors settings, please try regenerating the CSS by going to Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS.

In the meanwhile, you may try turning Improved DOM Optimization mode off.
Go to Elementor > Settings > Advanced tab > Improved DOM Optimization and set it to “Disabled”.

let me know if it helped you

The new upgrade works well for me so far on the staging site, maybe Elementor team can add (regenerate CSS automatically or by “click here banner”) to guide the user doing this which solves the problem here.

No conflict with Astra + WooCommerce has been found so far…

    Hi @davidr90

No. The changes I make in the bulder are not applied after reloading the front page. Only if I activate the option in DOM Optimization mode and reload the front page and deactivate the option again, it will take over the changes.

I think, look what others write about version 3, that something basically does not work correctly.

    Edit: i use Storefront

@davidr90 work on the elementor plugin it’s not always good switching and chainging settings on a live site its disrupts user experience and bring a bad reputation to the company. Make an update or patch to fix this bad issue please. Our feedback is to make you know our challenges with the plunging and for your company to fix it and not the users fixing it.

For me things go haywire when updating Elementor Pro from Version 2.10.3 to 3.0.1.

I missed Version 3.0.0, so cannot confirm that problems started there.

Have tried the above mentioned solutions, but they don’t fix the problems.

@petercopenhagen The last stable version is 2.9.13
You can downgrade them here YOUR-DOMAIN/wp-admin/admin.php?page=elementor-tools#tab-versions

    Thx @fwkart

I already rolled back to pro version 2.10.3, which works fine here.

This is one of those days, where you are glad you test updates on a staging site – and still backup everything beforehand 🙂

There is a new version. Current version 3.0.2
    I test it

Edit: Same problem. Changes in Elementor are not updated on Front.

    @davidr90

I try to describe my recognized problems.

    1. after the update to v3.01/3.02 fonts are displayed wrong. Either no font is loaded or the fonts differ in strength.

    2. before version 3 I added a separator line with cloud effect to a header on some pages. This is no longer visible on the front page. In Elementor it looks good.

    3. when I set DOM Optimization mode to ON, all margin CSS information disappears. On the desktop everything is ok.

    4. as already described, the changes in Elementor are not applied on the front page.

In Elementor (backend) everything is fine. There it looks as usual
