I use the free version of nextgen with version 3.1.1 In the plugin page for nextgen, it indicates that the free version is up to version 3.3.20. Why am I not seeing any update for this plugin in the wordpress administration.

Have you tried to deactivate, remove the plugin and re-install?

If I do that, will I loose m’y galleries and albums and have to recreate them

Hi @pierreraby,

The galleries and settings will stay safe. The manual NextGen plugins’ reinstallation will not affect your existing galleries.
